History
Based on the sunny Isle of Wight, Base Development was founded by Dan Turnbull, a certified Airtable and Softr consultant with over a decade of experience supporting businesses with no-code tools and services.
What started out as a generalist development agency has now become a dedicated no-code development and consulting business, having witnessed first-hand the growth of no-code platforms such as Airtable, Softr, Zapier, and Make.
Recently, we have begun offering AI consulting services, specialising in chatbot development and agentic AI deployment in Airtable and Softr.
Vision
At Base Development, we believe in simplicity. That’s partly why we choose no-code over traditional development. The speed and efficiency that no-code offers means we can bring our clients’ visions to life quickly and affordably.
We think that technology should never be a barrier to helping businesses make informed decisions, which is why we focus so much on user-experience and ease-of-use.
We’re huge fans of artificial intelligence, to the point where almost all projects now feature at least some AI functionality (but only where it makes sense and serves a specific purpose).
Ethos
Our clients are our lifeblood and we always aim to go above and beyond to satisfy their needs. We are acutely aware that in business, time is quite literally money, so we don’t hang around (most projects are completed within 2-4 weeks).
Technology - especially the no-code and AI space - is a rapidly evolving industry and we try our best to keep up. We frequently attend training events and conferences to keep our skills sharp and learn new ones that will help us better support our clients.
We don’t engage in shady marketing or sales activities, relying instead on organic search engine traffic and social media (predominantly LinkedIn) to generate leads for the business.
